ZERO 無
This project embraces the essence of traditional handwoven fabric and zero-waste cutting, advocating for a sustainable design perspective. Its goal is to diminish materialistic desires, advocating for enduring clothing use driven by internal transformations rather than external replacements.
Sourced from Guizhou's Kaili, the handwoven fabric embodies ethnic traditions, emphasizing a commitment to natural simplicity. Zero-waste design plays a crucial role in minimizing human impact on the environment.
Simultaneously, this design approach allows for the disassembly and reconstruction of clothing while preserving the integrity of each fabric piece. The skirt, for instance, comprises seven folded 37cmx110cm fabric sections. The top, incorporating laser cutting techniques, ingeniously weaves waste fabric scraps into fresh, vibrant patterns and textures.
Through the meticulous reassembly of garments, a metamorphosis occurs, reshaping conventional notions of possession and emptiness.
